Khalil: Kurdish delegation’s visit to Baghdad to get clear answer over pending issues

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Mahma Khalil, of the Kurdistani Alliance assured that the visit of the Kurdish delegation to Baghdad was to get a clear answer from the central government over the pending issues.

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “The demands of the KA are not new, but they were since the formation of the current government that are the Oil and Gas law draft, the implementation of Article 140 of the constitution and the budget of Kurdistan Region that is 17% of the general budget.”

“The budget is a merit to Kurdistan Region and was set according to a political deal where it will be 23% after conducting the census,” he added.

“The government deliberately delays the budget of the Peshmerga forces in spite of the improvement of the parliament to grant them weapons and military equipment where the government store them in the stores of the Ministry of Defense and do no deliver them to Kurdistan Region,” he pointed out.

“The delay in responding to the demands of the Kurds and setting opened time limits will increase the crisis where the central government must adhere to those demands,” he concluded.
