MP holds FSO responsibility for delay of presenting final accounts of 2012 budget

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Member of the Economy and Investment Committee, MP Qusai al-Ebadi stressed that “The delay in presenting the final accounts of 2012 general budget will lead to delay endorsing the general budget of 2013.”

Ebadi mentioned in a statement to IraqiNews.com that “The submission of the final accounts of 2012 budget to the Parliament comes within the responsibilities of the Financial Supervision Office,” noting that “The Office has issued a new law states to punish whoever disturbs presenting those final accounts, but we did not see any application for this law.”

He held the “FSO responsibility for delaying submitting the final accounts of the last year,” Ebadi added “The FSO is supposed to use its authorities in punishing the neglectful officials who are behind this delay.”
