Non-launching CBI’s auction to harm reputation of Iraqi economy

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The rappateur of the Parliamentary Economy Committee stressed that the failure of declaring the auction of the Central Bank of Iraq will harm the reputation of the Iraqi economy.

MP Mahama Khalil of Kurdistani Alliance stated to IraqiNews.com “The CBI is responsible for maintaining the value of the Iraqi Dinar and the reserves of currencies,” noting that “launching the auction is part of the Bank’s policies.”

It is worth to mention that the CBI has suspended the auction over the past two days without clarifying the reasons.

Usually, the CBI holds five sessions starting from Sunday till Thursday of each week.
