UNSC not to oppose mandate lift – expert

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: A legal expert on Sunday said that he thinks no member of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) would oppose an Iraqi request to issue a resolution to end the UN mandate in the country, and that this issue would cause Iraq no financial losses. “The UNSC will respond to the Iraqi request,” Tareq Harb told IraqiNews.com. “No court or authority global-wide has the right to confiscate Iraqi funds,” he said.
