Nineveh PC member holds security forces, Nineveh governor responsibility of attacking Shabak Community

Nineveh (IraqiNews.com) The member of Nineveh Provincial Council, Qusai Abbas, held the security forces and the Governor of Nineveh, Athil al-Nijaifi, the responsibility of attacking the Shabak Community in Nineveh province.

Speaking to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) , he stated “Nijaifi’s latest statements over the existence of militia elements in Sahal Nineveh area, resided by Shabak Community, in addition to his rejection over forming a regiment of Shabak citizens, are considered as evocative statements to target the Shabak Community.”

“Targeting the Shabak Community is a dangerous issue that is neglected by media where the attacks against this community are kept hidden including the explosion of two bombs in Amir Eeo village of western Mosul on last Friday,” he added, pointing out “Five citizens of Shabak Community were killed and 10 others injured where the security forces are responsible for the safety of the Shabak citizens.”

Earlier, 15 citizens of Shabak Community were killed and injured on Saturday in three separated attacks by unidentified gunmen in Mosul.
