Janabi urges to activate project of National Reconciliation

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Iraqi Republican Gathering, Saad Asim al-Janabi, urged “The Government and the Parliament to activate the project of the National Reconciliation in a comprehensive way and to end the debaathfication issue.”

He stated in a press statement received by IraqiNews.com “Creating doubts over the loyalty of the citizen for his homeland is rejected,” noting that “We have national figures in the former army and security forces who were not involved in killing Iraqis and that is why we can depend on them to make use of their experiences.”

He called “The government to make use of these national experiments to build the new Iraq.”

He also called “The political blocs to keep the security files away from the political disputes and to give the priority to the national interests.”

Iraq witnesses political crisis lasted for several months due to the disputes among the political sides related to the partnership and other issues which led some blocs to call for withdrawing confidence from the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, after holding meetings in Najaf and Erbil provinces.
