Khalil: Some sides afraid of attending national meeting, adhering to its results

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Mahma Khalil, of the Kurdistani Alliance pointed out that “The next national meeting is an attempt to win time and some sides want to hold it before the elections in order to hinder holding it.”

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “The efforts exerted by the President, Jalal Talabani, were intended to solve the political crisis,” noting that “Some sides are afraid of attending the national meeting and can not adhere to its results.”

“Despite Talabani’s efforts, some side do not cooperate with him and try to win time,” he concluded.

Iraq witnesses political crisis lasted for several months due to the disputes among the political sides related to the partnership and other issues which led some blocs to call for withdrawing confidence from the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, after holding meetings in Najaf and Erbil provinces.
