New joint committee formed to facilitate journalists work in Diyala

Diyala, Baquba (IraqiNews.com) Dijla Operations Command discussed with the branch of the journalist syndicate in Diyala province the means of facilitating the access of journalists to accurate information.

Informed source reported to IraqiNews.com on Wednesday ”The commander of Dijla operations command, Lieutenant General, Abdul Amir al-Zaydi, met the chairman of the journalist syndicate branch of Diyala province, Sajed al-Mahdawi,” noting that “During the meeting, the two sides discussed the situation of journalism in the province and the means of facilitating access of journalism to the accurate information and the freedom of expression according to law of protecting journalists.”

The source added “The meeting resulted in forming a joint operations committee between Dijla operations command and Diyala branch of journalists syndicate to facilitate the journalists’ work in the province.”

The source pointed out ”The next week will witness inauguration of an exhibition for victims of journalists in Diyala province.”
