Najaf develops security plan for Eid al-Ghadeer

Najaf (IraqiNews.com) Najaf Operations Command started its security plan of Eid al-Ghadeer with the participation of (30,000) security elements.

The spokesperson of Najaf Police Department, Captain Muqdad al-Musawi stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) on Thursday ”The operations command of Najaf province developed a special security plan to secure the rituals of celebrating Eid al-Ghadeer which included deploying about (30,000) security elements all over the province,” noting that “The security plan of Eid al-Ghadeer is considered a complementary plan for the plan of Eid al-Adha.”

The statement added ”The security elements involved in the security plan are composed of Army, police, explosive ordinance disposal forces and combating riots forces.”

The statement pointed out ”The security plan included imposing three security cordons, the first is around the holy shrine of Imam Ali, the second surrounded Thawrat al-Ishreen square and the third expanded over the border areas.” \
