3rd death sentence issued against Hashimi on Sunday

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Central Criminal Court issued a third death sentence in absentia against the judicially wanted Vice President, Tariq al-Hashimi, on Sunday.

Judicial source stated to IraqiNews.com “the ICCC issued the third death sentence against Hashimi and the Director of his office, Ahmed Qahtan, on charges of supplying a car bomb ready to be detonated in al-Madaen district of southern Baghdad targeting the pilgrims coming from Kut province.”

On last Thursday, the Iraqi Central Criminal Court issued a second verdict of death penalty against the judicially wanted Vice President Tariq al-Hashimi.

The state Sat Channel Iraqiya reported on Thursday that “The Central Criminal Court issued second sentence of death against Hashimi and his brother in law for charge related to inciting his bodyguards to stick an Adhesive Explosive Device to a car of an officer of the Ministry of Interior.”

It is worth to mention that the ICCC has issued in last Sept, 9th death sentence against the fugitive VP Hashimi in absentia and the Director of his office Ahmed Qahtan.
