IS’MP: Upcoming provincial elections to change roadmap of political alliances

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP Hamza al-Kartani of the Iraqiya Slate expected that the upcoming provincial elections will change the roadmap of the political alliances in the country.

Kartani stated to IraqiNews.com that “The provincial elections would change the roadmap of the political alliances in light of what we see of significant political movement on all levels,” pointing out that “There is a tendency to form new political blocs and alliances,” stressing that “This positive political movement will also support the democratic process in the country.”

Earlier, an informed source has revealed to IraqiNews.com about an agreement that was reached between the Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki and a number of leaders of the Iraqiya Slate to take part in the elections in one slate.
