University professor injured in Mosul

Nineveh, Mosul (IraqiNews.com) A university professor in Mosul University was injured due to an armed attack in eastern Mosul.

Security source reported to IraqiNews.com on Tuesday ”Unidentified gunmen opened fire targeting, Zayd al-Murshidi, who works as university professor in Mosul university, near his house in Muharbeen neighborhood of eastern Mosul city of central Nineveh province,” noting that “The professor was seriously injured due to the attack and he was transported to the intensive care unit in the hospital to get treatment.”

The source added “The gunmen managed to flee after the attack.”
