Not more than 10 laws delayed by current parliament, says Mustafa

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Lateef Mustafa, of the Legal Parliamentary Committee confirmed “The current parliament delays the endorsement of not more than ten laws while other laws are postponed by the former rotation of the parliament.”

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “The current parliament delay these laws due to the controversial points,” noting that “These laws include the General Amnesty, Federal Court, Supreme Judicial Council, Oil and Gas as well as the Parties Law.”

“The parliament Chairmanship was mistaken in accepting the drafts from the former parliamentary rotation because all parliaments in the world cancel the law drafts of the former parliaments,” he added.

“The current parliament is accused, for political reasons, by the Government of hurdling the endorsement of 250 law drafts but the reality is that these laws are from the former parliament,” he concluded.
