Market blast casualties reach 76- BOC

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Casualties from the explosion that ripped through a market in a northern Baghdad neighborhood earlier today have reached 76 civilians, a spokesperson for Baghdad Operation Command (BOC) said. “The final toll from al-Kadhemiya’s blast is 22 dead and 54 wounded persons, all civilians,” Maj. Gen. Qassem Ata told IraqiNews.com, noting that the explosion was caused by a car bomb. Earlier today, BOC said that five persons were killed and 22 others were wounded when a sticky explosive charge detonated inside a civilian vehicle in a used clothes market in Baghdad’s northern area of al-Kadhemiya.
