Tight security measures in Baghdad cities

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Strict security measures have been put in place at the entrances and exists of Baghdad’s al-Hurriya and Kadhimiya cities in the aftermath of an explosion that tore through a parking lot in Kadhimiya yesterday. A correspondent for IraqiNews.com said that streets in al-Hurriya were overcrowded, as checking operations embraced all vehicles. A total of 22 persons were killed and 54 others were wounded in a car bomb blast that occurred in Baghdad’s Kadhemiya yesterday. MH (P) / SS 1
