MP rules out conducting armament deals with other countries currently

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The member of the Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee, Hassan Jihad, ruled out concluding any armament deals with any country by Iraq at the current time without finishing its deal with Russia.

Speaking to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com), he stated “All the deals conducted by Iraq were not as required where the deal over purchasing the explosion detectors were not successful because the purchased equipment were not working properly.”

“The latest corruption issue accompanied the armament deal with Russia raised many questions and I do not think that Iraq will contract with another country without finishing the current deal with Russia,” he concluded.
