4 civilians wounded in 4th Baghdad explosion

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Four civilians on Monday were wounded when an explosive charge went off in downtown Baghdad, the fourth blast to hit the capital today amidst celebrations commemorating the Ashuraa Day. “A roadside explosive device detonated in al-Nidal Street, downtown Baghdad, injuring four civilians,” an Iraqi police source told IraqiNews.com news agency. Earlier today, a roadside improvised explosive device (IED) planted by unknown men near al-Shaab playground in Baghdad’s Zayouna area went off, killing one civilian and wounding six others. Meanwhile, eight persons were wounded when two roadside explosive devices detonated near Rasheed Camp in the area between Uqba Bin Nafie Square and al-Mashn commercial mall in southeastern Baghdad.
