Withdrawing Dijla OC from disputed area to settle crisis, says MP

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP Firhad Rasoul of Kurdistan Alliance stressed that settling the crisis between the Federal Government of Iraq and Kurdistan Regional Government lies in applying the security agreement concluded earlier between both sides to manage the disputed areas, in addition to withdraw Dijla Operations Command (Dijla OC)from those areas.

Rasoul stated to IraqiNews.com that “The discussion of the recent crisis over Dijla Operations Command must be among the priorities of the Parliament to resolve the dispute between the Federal Government and Kurdistan RegionG,” noting that “The Parliament has to play a role in addressing the problem created by the federal government over Dijla OC.”

It is worth mentioning that last Friday witnessed clashes between elements of Dijla Operations Command and bodyguards of a Kurdish figure in east of Tikrit city resulted in killing and injuring a number of Dijla OC’s elements.
