Kurdish parties to discuss CoM’s suggestion over running security file in disputed areas by Kurdistan Region, Central Government

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Mahmoud Othman, of the Kurdistani Alliance stated to Iraqi News IraqiNews.com “The Kurdish parties will hold a meeting on Thursday to discuss the suggestion of the Council of Ministers over running the security file in the disputed areas by joint forces from Kurdistan Region and the Central Government.”

“The meeting will result in a unified stance over this issue and a suggestion to settle the current political crisis,” he concluded.

Earlier, the CoM suggested running the security file in the disputed areas by the Central Government and Kurdistan Region.

A Kurdish official stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) on Tuesday “The CoM suggested to run the security file in the disputed areas by joint forces from Kurdistan Region and the Central Government.”

“The Premier, Nouri al-Maliki decided to send this suggestion by the Deputy Premier, Ruz Nouri Shawis, to Kurdistan Region to discuss it and reply,” the source added.

Earlier, the CoM discussed, during its meeting on Tuesday, the mobilizations of Dijla Operations Command in the disputed areas.
