Sadr calls Maliki, Barzani to head to Najaf province to settle disputes

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Sadr Trend, Muqtada al-Sadr, called the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, and the President of Kurdistan Region, Masoud Barzani, to head to Najaf province to settle the disputes between Baghdad and Erbil.

A statement by Sadr’s office received by IraqiNews.com cited “Sadr invited Maliki and Barzani to visit Najaf province to discuss the latest crisis between the two sides in order to settle it.”

“The meeting will also deal with the political crisis among the political blocs and the corruption in the governmental institutions,” the statement concluded.
