Adhamiya explosion caused by adhesive bomb – BOC
BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Baghdad’s Operations Command (BOC) said the explosion that targeted the dean of the Islamic University on Wednesday in al-Adhamiya neighborhood, northern Baghdad, was caused by an adhesive bomb that was adhered to one of the dean’s motorcade’s cars. “The car that was bombed was the second in Dean Ziyad al-Ani’a motorcade,” General Qassim Atta told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The car’s driver and a civilian woman, who was nearby the incident’s location, were killed in the detonation,” he said. “Four of al-Ani’s guards were wounded in the attack,” he added. Earlier today, a police source said that a civilian was killed and four others were wounded in a car bomb explosion in al-Adhamiya neighborhood, northern Baghdad. Another police source said that the casualties from the car bomb explosion that ripped through al-Aadhamiya on Wednesday rose to four dead and 10 wounded. MH (S)/SR 1
