Peshmerga, Defense Ministry agree to set final draft of agreement over disputed areas
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Peshmerga forces and the Ministry of Defense agreed to set a final draft of the agreement between them over the disputed areas.
The spokesperson of the Defense Ministry, Dhiyaa al-Wakil, stated in a press statement received by IraqiNews.com “The second meeting between the delegation of the Defense Ministry and the Peshmerga Ministry in Kurdistan Region was held in the office of the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, to discuss the suitable solutions to the current crisis over the disputed areas.”
“The meeting was headed by the lieutenant general, Farug al-Araji, the head of Maliki’s office, where it had a good atmosphere and was conducted by setting a final draft of the agreement between the two sides that will be announced later,” he concluded.
