Turkey condemns Thursday bombings in Iraq

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Turkey condemned the terrorist attacks that targeted a number of Iraqi provinces on last Thursday that resulted in killing and injuring dozens of people mostly civilians.

A statement by the Turkish Foreign Ministry cited “We strongly denounce the terrorist bombings that targeted Iraqi cities of Mosul, Hilla, Karbala, Faluja which coincide with the holy Muharram and resulted in killing about 38 civilians and injuring many others.”

“We ask God Almighty to have mercy upon the Iraqi deaths and urgent recovery for the wounded people,” it added.

“The stop of the bloodshed and the achievement of stability in Iraq is at the heart of what we aspire to, hence we pledge to continue with all our potentials to foster the stability and security in the friendly Iraq and confirm our solidarity with the Iraqi people in fighting the terrorism,” the statement concluded.

It is worth mentioning that a number of Iraqi cities have witnessed on last Thursday bombings by car bombs and IEDs resulted in killing and injuring many civilians and security elements.
