5 wanted men, 2 Iranians arrested in Basra

BASRA / IraqiNews.com: Five wanted men were arrested on criminal and terror-related charges, in addition to two Iranian nationals who did not carry identification cards in Basra province, the media office of Basra police said on Saturday. “Our forces conducted a raid-and-search operation in Sanan Mountain, Safwan area (60 km west of Basra city), during which five wanted men were captured and five hand grenades and an amount of ammunition were seized,” the office told IraqiNews.com news agency. “Meanwhile, two Iranian nationals were arrested for not having identification cards in eastern Basra,” the office added.
