Kidnapping gang arrested in Diala

DIALA / IraqiNews.com: Policemen on Friday arrested a kidnapping and looting gang in south of Baaquba, the chief of the Diala police said. “Police forces waged a security raid in Bahraz district in south of Baaquba on Friday morning (2-1-2009), where they arrested three gunmen for kidnapping and looting contractors and merchants as well as children,” General Abdul Hussein al-Shemri told IraqiNews.com news agency. “They confessed to perpetrating several crimes in different regions of Baaquba,” he explained. Baaquba, the capital of Diala, lies 57 northeast of Baghdad. SH (P) 1
