Police detain al-Qaeda leader in Khalis

DIALA / IraqiNews.com: Police forces on Wednesday arrested al-Qaeda leader in north of Baaquba, the chief of the Diala police said. “Policemen waged a crackdown operation in al-Wandiya region in al-Salam district in Khalis, north of Baaquba, arresting the emir of al-Windiya region, Khamees Habr Maleh,” General Abdul Hussein al-Shemri told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The detainee is wanted for the Iraqi authorities according to article 406,” he explained.
