Khalil: Ki-moon’s visit expresses concerns of international community over political process in Iraq

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Mahma Khalil, of the Kurdistani Alliance pointed out that the visit of the Secretary General of the United Nations expresses the concerns of the international community over the political process and the democracy in Iraq after the recent crisis between the Central Government and the Kurdistani Regional Government.

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “The timing of Ki-moon’s visit expresses the international community concerns over the consequences of the recent developments in Iraq especially the disputes between the CG and the Kurdistan RegionG.”

“This visit is a clear evidence over such concerns,” he mentioned, calling “The UN and its SG to protect the democratic achievements in Iraq.”

“The deterioration of the democratic process in Iraq has negative effects on Iraq and the Region,” he concluded.
