WRM celebrates Universal Declaration of Human Rights anniversary


Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi Ministry of Water Resource held, on Monday, a celebration on occasion of the Universal Declaration that was approved in 1948.

A statement by the Ministry cited “The celebration started by standing for moment of silence in respect to the souls of the martyrs followed by speeches which tackled the concept of human rights approved by the United Nations.”

The First article of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights clearly referred that the people are born free in rights and dignity, without discrimination due to race, language, color, sex, religion, and opinion.
