Abbawi, head of Red Crescent International Mission to Iraq discuss issues of mutual concerns

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Deputy Foreing Minister, Labeed Abbawi, and the head of the Red Crescent International Mission to Iraq discussed the agreements concluded between the two sides and the issues of the mutual concerns.

A statement by The Ministry of Foreign Affairs received by IraqiNews.com cited “Both sides reviewed the performance of the mission and its supervisory role in addition to its presence in the detentions and prisons in coordination with the Ministries of Justice, Defense and Interior as well as the Ministry of Social Affairs to reveal the abuse and the violations committed against the detainees.”

“Both sides discussed the role of the mission in searching about the fates of the Kuwaiti missing people in Iraq and the remains of the Iranians buried in Iraq in addition to the mediating role of the mission concerning the coordination between the Arab detainees’ families and the specialized sides over their visits to their detainees in Iraq,” the statement added.

“Abbawi confirmed Iraq’s readiness to present all kinds of support for the mission to facilitate its performance in Iraq,” the statement concluded.
