Urgent – .Nijaifi accuses some sides of attempting to postpone launch of local elections

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, Osama al-Nijaifi, accused some political sides of trying to postpone the launch of the local elections in 2013.

IraqiNews.com correspondent reported that “Nijaifi accused, during the regular session, some sides, without identifying them, of seeking to postpone the local elections,” warning “If the local elections law draft would not be voted on during next Thursday session this will lead to postpone the launch of the elections as the Independent High Electoral Commission said.”
