Sari: Describing Religious Authorities as NGOs aims at weakening their national role

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Secretary General of Construction and Jihad, Hasan al-Sari, confirmed that describing the religious authorities in Najaf as a Non-Governmental Organization aims at implementing foreign agenda intended to weaken their national role.

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “Speaking about the religious authorities as a part of the NGO aims at excluding and marginalizing the great national role for them in establishing democracy in Iraq.”

“All sides realize the position of the religious authorities as being the safety for all Iraqis and their unity,” he continued.

“The religious authority in Najaf called and still calls to provide services, confront corruption and to eliminate the poverty,” he concluded.

Earlier, MP, Hussien al-Asadi, of the State of Law Coalition described, in a media statement, the religious authority in Najaf as a Non-Governmental Organization.
