Delay in approving oil bill curbs investment in Iraq – MP
BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: A member of the Iraqi parliament’s economic committee, Yonadim Kena, on Tuesday said that the delay in approving the oil and gas bill “may curb investment in Iraq.” “Current laws do not serve the interests of foreign investors in the oil and gas sectors,” Kena told IraqiNews.com. “This will put foreign capitals away from Iraq, and may create an economic crisis at a time when the country needs to refresh its economy by means of investment,” he said. He blamed the delay in approving the draft law on the parliamentary oil and gas committee. MH (P) / SS 1
