Urgent – 23 persons killed, injured due to Kirkuk blasts

Kirkuk (IraqiNews.com) About (23) persons were killed and injured as initial human casualties of Kirkuk blasts on Sunday evening.

Security source stated to Iraqi News IraqiNews.com “Five people were killed while 18 others were injured as a result of the explosions that took place in Kirkuk province ,” noting that “The explosions varied between mortar shells, car bombs and Improvised Explosive Devices in varies areas of Kirkuk province.”

”Two IEDs were sequentially exploded in Tesaaen area without identifying human casualties or material damages, ”the source added.

Series of explosions took place in Kirkuk province on Sunday evening represented in car bombs and IEDs.

These explosions coinciding with the security breaches in Kirkuk province on the background of tension between the Federal Government and the Government of Kurdistan Region over the disputed areas which witnessing gathering of Federal and Kurdish security forces. \
