SLC MP describes Barzani’s statement over disputed areas as Unconstitutional

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Ibrahim al-Rikabi, of the State of Law Coalition described the statements of the President of Kurdistan Region, Masoud Barzani, over the disputed areas as “Unconstitutional and contradict the initiatives of the settlement of the crisis.”

In a press statement received by IraqiNews.com on Saturday, he said “We do adhere to the constitution and the initiative of the President, Jalal Talabani, to settle the crisis, but we reject Barzani’s latest statements.”

“Releasing the name of the Kurdistan areas taken from Kurdistan Region, to the disputed areas by Barzani is unconstitutional and contradict the initiatives of Talabani and his Vice, Khudair al-Khuzayi, to settle the crisis,” he added.

He stressed “The necessity of adhering to the constitution without violating the normal norms.”
