KA accuses some sides of canceling Kurdish departments in universities

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Burhan Faraj, of the Kurdistani Alliance accused some parts, that he did not name, of cancelling the Kurdish departments in the Iraqi universities.

In a press conference, Faraj said “The intention of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to cancel the department of the Kurdish language at the University of Baghdad is a violation of Article 4 of the Constitution, and will have a negative reflect on the general situation,” noting that “The Kurdistan Alliance is aiming to expand and the development those sections and not cancelling them.”

“The implementation of such a procedure is a violation to the principle of peaceful coexistence and democracy approach,” he concluded.
