MP rules out requesting US interference by Maliki to settle crisis over disputed areas

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Abdullah Gharab, of the Iraqiya Slate ruled out possibility of Maliki’s requesting for the US interference to settle the crisis over the disputed areas.

Speaking to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com), he said “I do not think that Maliki’s visit to America aims at requesting the US Administration to pressurize the President of Kurdistan Region, Masoud Barzani, to settle the crisis over Kirkuk.”

“The visit may be devoted to discuss politial issues that are not related to Kirkuk crisis,” he noted.

“I support settling all the disputes through internal solution rather than through America,” he assured, stressing that “in case America keeps on its interferences in all the crises that Iraq undergoes, this indicates that all the political leaders are not qualified to lead the country.”

He emphasized settling the disputed through dialogue among the political leaders and heads of the political blocs.

Political observers confirm that the disputes between the Central Government and the Kurdistani Regional Government reached a blocked road so Maliki’s resorting to the US to pressurize the President of Kurdistan Region, Masoud Barzani, is the best option to end the crisis.
