ISX cancels registration of 2 companies

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Iraqi Stock Exchange (ISX) has decided to terminate the registration of two companies, which have merged with unregistered companies. The concerned companies are al-Rafideen Soda Company and Lolo’a al-Basra for Marine Transport, according to a CBI news bulletin received by IraqiNews.com news agency. The recently merged companies will have to apply for a new registration, the bulletin noted. A total of 94 companies are currently registered with the Iraqi stock market. The Iraqi Stock Exchange, established under Law No. 74 of the year 2004, held its first session on June 24, 2004. The stock market holds three sessions a week: Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday.
