Urgent – ..15 pilgrims injured in Khalis district within Babel

Diyala (IraqiNews.com) More than 15 Arbaeen pilgrims were injured due to an explosion of car bomb in Khalis district associated to Diyala province.

Security source told Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) on Monday that “Car bomb went off targeting pilgrims of Imam Hussein’s holy shrine near al-Khidhir shrine in Khalis district resulted in wounding more than 15 pilgrims.”

“Ambulances rushed to the incident place and transported the inured persons to hospital for treatment,” the source added.

It is worth mentioning that Babel province witnessed a spate of bombings by IEDs and car bombs targeting Arbaeen pilgrims.
