Iraqiya Slate appreciates Sadr’s support for Anbar protests

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqiya Slate expressed its appreciation to the statements of the head of the Sadr Trend, Muqtada al-Sadr, when he announced his support for Anbar demonstrators’ demands.

A statement by the IS cited that “We think that Sadr’s stance will participate in getting the demonstrations out of the communal dimension and give them national identity.”

“We carefully listened to Sadr’s remarks in which he highlighted the defects of the unilateral policy in running the state and the trend of the exclusion against the political partners as well s policies of covering up corruption and targeting of political figures unlawfully,” the statement added.

The statement called the other political leaders to follow example of Sadr in supporting those demonstrations.
