Sadrist MP: Sadr’s latest stances contributes in suspending sectarian slogans in Anbar demonstrations
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The spokesperson of al-Ahrar bloc, Mushriq Naji, stated “The latest stances of the head of the Sadr Trend, Muqtada al-Sadr, are based on the international basis and the responsibility to preserve the unity of Iraq and not to divide it.”
In a press statement received by IraqiNews.com on Thursday, he said “Sadr, through his stances, could stop the sectarian slogans within the demonstrations of Anbar province where the citizens of Anbar realized that Sadr rejects discriminating the citizens regardless their religion or sect and he supports their legal demands.”
Naji called to “Stop any sectarian calls by any side to achieve the safety of the Iraqis.”
Earlier, Sadr held a press conference on last Tuesday in Najaf province where he called the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, to hold the responsibility and not make the ministers hold it instead of him in addition to adhere to the demands of the demonstrators.
