Electricity, industry ministries sign contract to install generators

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Iraqi Ministry of Electricity on Tuesday said that it had signed a contract with the Ministry of Industry to install and operate diesel-driven power generators. “The total capacity of the units is 230 Megawatt,” the Electricity Ministry said in a release that was received by IraqiNews.com news agency. “The total cost of the project is 25 million Euros,” it added. “The project will be finalized within 18 months,” it noted. “Pielstick, a French company, will provide the project’s equipment,” according to the release.
