Report over Russian Armament contract reveals no MP involved in corruption, says Awad

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Uday Awad, of Ahrar bloc assured that the final report over the armament contract concluded with Russia revealed that no MP involved in the corruption accompanied this contract.

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “The investigation committee of this contract did not inform us over the evidences related to the results of its report,” noting that “The committee distributed only the results of the report among us.”

“The file of this contract was referred to the Integrity Commission and the General Attorney,” he added.

“MPs investigated by the Committee were merely to listen to their testimony,” he concluded.
