Soon: Electricity generating equipment to arrive in Baghdad

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Equipment for an electricity generating station in Baghdad’s eastern city of Sadr will soon arrive in the capital from Iran, according to an official source. “Al-Hamidiya station will be installed once equipment arrives from Iran next month,” an official spokesperson for the Iraqi Ministry of Electricity, Aziz Sultan al-Shamri, told IraqiNews.com news agency. The total capacity of the station, which encompasses two units, is 300 megawatts, Shamri added.
