Urgent – IED explodes in central Baghdad

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) An improvised Explosive Device exploded in Karrada area of central Baghdad on Wednesday morning.

Security source stated to IraqiNews.com “The IED that was emplaced near the National Theater exploded injuring three civilians and caused material damages to the nearby buildings.”

“The security forces blocked the explosion vicinity and transferred the injured to the hospital for treatment,” the source concluded.

This is considered as the second security breach since Wednesday morning where three policemen were killed in northeastern Baghdad on Wednesday morning.

Security source stated to IraqiNews.com “Unidentified gunmen attacked the policemen in al-Basateen neighborhood of Shaab area in Baghdad.”
