ID1b to maintain oldest water pipeline in Karbala
KARBALA / IraqiNews.com: A local company in Karbala on Thursday embarked on implementing a project to maintain the oldest drinking water pipeline in the holy city at a cost of 1.1 billion Iraqi dinars (ID), equal to $984,000, according to the governor of Karbala. “Some bad parts within the line that links Karbala to Ayn al-Tamr district, (85 km) west of the province, will be replaced,” Oqeil al-Khazaali told IraqiNews.com news agency, adding the project will take up to six months to finish. “The new pipelines will be ductile and with a diameter of 600 millimeters,” he said.
