Gunmen kill woman in Kirkuk

Kirkuk-Unknown KIRKUK / IraqiNews.com: A woman was killed on Monday by unknown gunmen, while a bomb exploded without casualties in two separate incidents in Kirkuk, the chief of the local police said. “Unidentified armed men opened fire on Monday (Jan. 5) on a woman in al-Ayoun village in al-Abbasi district in southwest of Kirkuk, killing her on the spot,” Brig. Sarhad Qader told IraqiNews.com news agency. “They fled to an unknown place,” he added. “An explosive charge went off on the main road between Kirkuk and Tikrit near al-Rashad district, southwest of Kirkuk, damaging a lorry,” he also said.
