Saadi sends complaint against head of SJC

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The independent MP Sabah al-Saadi announced sending complaint at the Integrity Commission against the head of the Supreme Judicial Council, Midhat al-Mahmoud.

Saadi mentioned in a press conference held at the parliament building on Monday “We sent a complaint before the Integrity Commission and the Parliament’s chairmanship over files related to corruption against Mahmoud who exploited three administrative posts, that are, the head of the Supreme Judicial Council, head of Cassation Court, and head of the Judicial Institute, although he passed the legal age of retirement since 2003.”

He stressed “All the resolutions that were issued by the Supreme Judicial Court, the Cassation Court, or by the Judicial Institute during Mahmoud’s office are invalid since he violated the legal age of retirement.”
