Najaf divided into 11 security areas for elections – police

NAJAF / IraqiNews.com: Najaf police commander announced that the province has been divided into 11 areas under the command of police during the upcoming provincial election, while the role of U.S. forces will be limited to providing air support during the electoral process that will take place by the end of this month. “This comes as part of a big security plan that embraces all security forces in the province,” General Abdilkareem al-Amiri told IraqiNews.com news agency. “Each of the 11 areas will have a police commander,” he added.
