Barzani, top Irish officials discuss bilateral relations

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The President of Kurdistan Region, Masoud Barzani who currently visits Northern Ireland made series of meetings with top Irish officials in which he discussed the bilateral relations with Northern Ireland along with the investment opportunities.

A statement by Kurdistan Regional Government cited “Within his current European tour, Barzani and the accompanying delegation have arrived to capital of Northern Ireland, Belfast, on last Tuesday, in response to an official invitation.”

“Barzani met with the Premier of Northern Ireland, Peter Robinson, and his Deputy, Martin Mac Keynes, where they discussed the current situation in Iraq and Kurdistan as well as discussing the economic and commercial relations between Northern Ireland and the Kurdistan region,” the statement added.

“Both sides stressed their willingness to promote the mutual cooperation in all fields of interest for both sides,” it concluded.
