Policeman down in eastern Mosul

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: A policeman from the Oil Facilities Protection Department was shot down by unidentified gunmen fire on Thursday, a source from the Ninewa police said. “An OFPD personnel was killed on Thursday (1-1-2009) when unidentified gunmen opened fire at him in al-Kuweir street, eastern Mosul, the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The policeman was on a leave of absence when he came under attack,” the source said, not giving more details about the incident.
